For the next background, we have a couple of characters that could have only come from the mind of Tim Burton. Here’s Edward and Kim from the 1990 flick, Edward Scissorhands.

Team America: World Police Review
Political satire delivered with “dick and fart” humor and acted out by puppets. The formula for for a great movie? You bet your sweet ass it is! Team America: World Police is a very obvious attempted by its creators to poke fun at the way the Bush administration has handled terror issues in recent years while at the same time, alienating the celebrities who speak out against it maybe a little too vocally and publicly. Basically, no one is safe with this flick and it’s made even more enjoyable by a soundtrack mostly performed by Trey Parker himself. There is one song he sings that is just dedicated to how bad the Pearl Harbor flick was, how they missed the entire point of the incident, how bad of an actor Ben Affleck is in it, and how Michael Bay should never be allowed to direct another movie again. I absolutely loved every single second of Team America and I’m positive you will too. America… fuck yeah!!!
Storm Watch No Joke
Ok. So I poked a little fun at the local news storm watch reports. I take it back. This is probably the worst I’ve seen it in the last five years. I was driving back from Team America (review to come) and the streets were absolutely flooded. I’m taking maybe 16 inches deep with water. No streets anymore. Just rivers. I’m sure someone is reading this and thinking “that’s nothing” but here in SoCal, that’s definitely something. We had to keep driving around for another half hour just to believe what we were seeing. In fact, the currents were so strong that it broke off one of my hubcaps completely. I’d love to go out there and get a couple of shots right now, but there’s no way I wouldn’t ruin my camera going out there. I’m actually a little worried about the underground parking flooding over. Sure looks like it’s possible. Let’s hope it doesn’t. Oh man. I’m already dreading the drive tomorrow morning.
Planned Night
Things I’m looking forward to tonight:ul>
Storm Watch 2004 1/2
If you turn on any of the local news programs right now, you would think the world was ending here in Souther California. STORM WATCH! We are on storm watch! I think it rained maybe a couple of inches and we are on STORM WATCH 2004 1/2!!! The funniest thing to see is the the reporters “live on location” standing on a corner wearing the thickest, most reflective, most colorful jacket you’ve ever seen with the hood completely up and tied while they point to the splashes the cars are making. The worst part about it is the drive. Freeways decide to just shut down for no apparent reason. Oh well.
So here’s a quick Lindsay update. Seems Miss Lohan’s new video, Rumors, is kicking some ass all over the place. The thing looks great and surprisingly doesn’t sound too bad. It was also just placed in the music videos section of the iTunes music store so check it out there. Oh, yeah. She’s still damn hot. Umm, yeah. The video is way damn hot.
I took a nice little day trip to Santa Barbara this weekend with Jessie. It was actually my first time there, but she’s lived there before so I had a good guide with me. I think I’m a little overwhelmed by the whiteness over there. Seriously, I don’t think I saw a non-white person there unless they were working for da man. I almost felt guilty just walking around on the main street. Still, the beaches were beautiful and the land is very nice. I got a fair amount of pics so you should see those soon.
Nosferatu
I forgot to throw up a new background on Saturday night so here it is now. From the completely silent and terribly frightening 1922 flick, say hello to Nosferatu.
ASU Undefeated No More
USC was so satisfied with the score by the end of the half, they played their 3rd and 4th string players the rest of the game. The Trojans brought their A game and embarrassed Arizona State, 45-7. I guess we saw where your team stands now Grant.
US Elections Map
Here is a US elections map provided by the BBC News. It’s got some great presidential election stats from the past 56 years.
Victor & The Monster
Not a movie you’d call scary. In fact, it’s probably one of the funniest movies of all time. Still, it has the Halloween thing going for it and that’s why Victor Frankenstein and the monster from the 1974 flick, Young Frankenstein, are the subjects of the next background.
3rd Presidential Debate
6:03pm – It’s starting. I love hearing the moderator read the rules. Maybe instead of a flashing red light when the time is up, they should just give them a little shock to the testicles.
6:07pm – It seems like the last two debates, Bush and Kerry were purposely dressed very different. Now they’re in almost the same thing. Blue suit, red tie.
6:10pm – I don’t understand why they aren’t directing their comments to each other more often. Instead of hearing “this President didn’t do this”, I’d like to hear “you didn’t do this”. Maybe throw in a little pointing or one of them flicking off the other.
6:15pm – Why does Bush blink so much?
6:33pm – Bush and Kerry both have very strong personal beliefs on family and life values, gay marriages, abortion, etc. The biggest difference I see between them is that Bush pushes his believes on us through his political power where as Kerry seems to let’s us make up our own minds. It’s constantly echoed by Senator saying “you choose”.
7:17pm – “Freedom is a gift from the almighty.” I don’t know how the President can truly believe that statement and that all people deserved it. I’m hearing more of “you’re either with us or against us”. He obviously believes his spiritual, family, and general life values are important enough to the point where he wants to make it incredibly difficult for people who opposes these values to choose there own non-threatening freedoms and be considered legally equal to the majority and socially tolerable by the masses. I need a President who is going to take everyone into consideration when making choices.
7:28pm – For a while, I have thought both Bush and Kerry were just completely uninspiring individuals. These debates and particularly his closing statement have made me question that thought about Kerry.
7:31pm – The Bush twins are hot.
