ASU Undefeated No More

USC was so satisfied with the score by the end of the half, they played their 3rd and 4th string players the rest of the game. The Trojans brought their A game and embarrassed Arizona State, 45-7. I guess we saw where your team stands now Grant.

Victor & The Monster

Not a movie you’d call scary. In fact, it’s probably one of the funniest movies of all time. Still, it has the Halloween thing going for it and that’s why Victor Frankenstein and the monster from the 1974 flick, Young Frankenstein, are the subjects of the next background.

3rd Presidential Debate

6:03pm – It’s starting. I love hearing the moderator read the rules. Maybe instead of a flashing red light when the time is up, they should just give them a little shock to the testicles.

6:07pm – It seems like the last two debates, Bush and Kerry were purposely dressed very different. Now they’re in almost the same thing. Blue suit, red tie.

6:10pm – I don’t understand why they aren’t directing their comments to each other more often. Instead of hearing “this President didn’t do this”, I’d like to hear “you didn’t do this”. Maybe throw in a little pointing or one of them flicking off the other.

6:15pm – Why does Bush blink so much?

6:33pm – Bush and Kerry both have very strong personal beliefs on family and life values, gay marriages, abortion, etc. The biggest difference I see between them is that Bush pushes his believes on us through his political power where as Kerry seems to let’s us make up our own minds. It’s constantly echoed by Senator saying “you choose”.

7:17pm – “Freedom is a gift from the almighty.” I don’t know how the President can truly believe that statement and that all people deserved it. I’m hearing more of “you’re either with us or against us”. He obviously believes his spiritual, family, and general life values are important enough to the point where he wants to make it incredibly difficult for people who opposes these values to choose there own non-threatening freedoms and be considered legally equal to the majority and socially tolerable by the masses. I need a President who is going to take everyone into consideration when making choices.

7:28pm – For a while, I have thought both Bush and Kerry were just completely uninspiring individuals. These debates and particularly his closing statement have made me question that thought about Kerry.

7:31pm – The Bush twins are hot.

Meet A Wacko Out There

My girlfriend is looking for a roommate to take over one of the rooms in her current apartment. Here’s one of the replies.

The Monster

I absolutely love the original black and white versions of the monster movies and this one’s another favorite. Here’s the monster from the 1931 classic, Frankenstein. I’ve also put up on the top right of the page a classic sound clip from whatever film is being displayed at the time.

Trojans Defeat Golden Bears

My god. That last drive by Cal was too close for comfort, but they did it. Number 1 USC took down number 7 Cal, 23-17 and will most likely remain the number 1 team in the country. Now time to bring on the Sun Devils October 16th. Go Trojans!

2nd Presidential Debate Afterthoughts

When watching something like the debates on TV, you have to choose what station to watch it on since it’s on multiple ones. Last night I chose to watch it on CNN. CNN did something that I thought was kind of interesting at first. They had an audience of “undecided” voters all watch the debate together. The host of that audience then started to question them after the debate was over and it seemed for the most part that they were all impressed with Bush enough to the point where they decided on him. In fact, all but about two people in the audience of maybe twenty people said this debate made them finalize their decisions. Scripted maybe? Which station do you guys choose to watch your debates?

Anyway, from reading around it looks pretty split as to who “won” last night. I’m still thinking Kerry. Bush was more comfortable, more coherent, and more in control of himself considering the first debate. Still, he just didn’t answer the questions and kept spouting out one of his many scripted speeches. Kerry was simply more responsive to the questions with an occasional tangent. I can’t remember where I read it, but it was a good line so I’ll use it here. Bush looked like the weak candidate going up against a strong president.

2nd Presidential Debate

7:00pm – I’m currently watching the second Presidential debate. Wish I was smart enough to blog the thing, but the truth is I need time to formulate my thoughts and get them into type. Not fast enough to write it out. What can I say so far? Well, that carpet is real quite an annoying color.

7:05pm – Seems like Bush is a little more on point than he was in the first debate. Is it me or are there like 4 non-white people in the audience?

7:08pm – I came in late here. What are they writing down on those notepads? I’ll bet ya Bush is playing tic-tac-toe with himself. I’ll bet ya anything he’s losing too.

7:11pm – Alright. What the hell? Where are my Simpsons? I want to watch The Simpson.

7:12pm – Oh my god. It’s on everywhere. Every station! (crawled up in a corner with my laptop)

7: 20pm – Alright alright! I’ll watch.

7:33pm – Closing statements already? I missed too much. Anyone know where I can get a video stream of it somewhere? I guess I could just wait until they post the audio on the iTunes Music Store. One thing I could say is this one seemed closer to the definition of a “debate” unlike the first one. They were a little more confrontational than the first. If you had to pick a winner, my initial though would be Kerry. He was definitely more on the offense, just constantly attacking Bush and offering real solutions. Bush seemed like he had to keep explaining himself and his actions. He was better, but still very defensive. I think for the third debate, they should put on those gigantic foam boxing gloves and have them go at it on a log over a water tank filled with sharks… sharks with freakin’ laser beams on their heads.
