Alright, I got a little itchy waiting to put up the new design (and I had Lisa calling me a lazy ass), so it’s up now and I hope ya like it. There are still a couple of images to add to the border and I have to play around with the text sizes, but I love the colors. The whole thing is just SCREAMS in the direction I want to go with the-journals.com. Anyway, let me know what you think. I’m going to make a couple of little changes here and there, but this is basically it for a couple of months.

Domain Forwarding Problems
I’ve been having domain name and forwarding problems all damn week with GoDaddy.com, but they know of the problem. It’s not an isolated incident and it should fix itself in a little bit. Until then, you can always try some of the other domain names that point here. Refer back to this post.
Update (4:29pm): From what I’ve been getting out of the people at godaddy.com, it seems like this problem might continue over the weekend. This being the case, I’m not going to update to my new design until I feel the problem has been resolved. I probably wont do any posts either because it’s pointless if you can’t read them. Anyway, I have my friend from Arizona over this weekend and I’ll probably be in too much of an altered state to post something legible. That doesn’t mean you wont see illegible posts this weekend. ;) Hopefully the problem is fixed soon because I actually do like the new look. I’m tell everyone this like you actually care.
Football Bringin' Me Money?
Let me know if ya think this is a good bet for me or not. SMASHEM and I made two. The first is on the Oakland/SanFran game. It’s $10 and he’s gotta beat a spread of 7 points with Oakland. The second is also $10 on the Chicago/Philly game. He’s gotta beat a spread of 10 points with Philly. If either game ends exactly on the spread, we push. What do ya think?
Tony's Thought of the Day: 2002-11-01
when taking a girl out, always use cash instead of ur credit card, cuz when she breaks ur heart, you wont be reminded of it at the end of the month. :(
Happy Halloween!!!
Of course, the first thing I want to do is wish everyone a very happy Halloween. Me, I’m gonna do the same thing I’ve been doing for the last 6 years or so. Sierra Madre (this little town up in the hills) gets together and has this little Halloween thing. All of the houses in the area are way decorated and everyone carves a pumpkin and takes it to this one place where they make a type of pumpkin patch. Hundreds of pumpkins and all done very well. The whole thing is going to feel pretty different, though, because it will be the first time in a while I’m not going with a girl (just friends tonight). The last couple of years I took my ex and that’s not happening this year because, well, it’s kind of one of those things I only do with “special” people. Actually, now that I think about it, it’s probably going to feel better this year because I’ll be going with people who actually enjoy Halloween and I’m not having to drag them out there like I did with my ex.
Well in any case, I can’t wait. Gonna do the pumpkin carving first, then take off to the pumpkin patch. I’ll probably finish off the night watching my favorite Halloween movie ever, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Anyone out there doing anything interesting?
The Exorcist Theme
They don’t call it the “scariest movie of all time” for no reason.
Elisha Cuthbert & Violent Video Games… Pure Heavan!
So I’m about to get to bed, but I wanted to jump on here real quick just because I don’t put up too many bullsh*t posts anymore and tonight had a lot of bullsh*t content for me.
The season premiere of 24 was on tonight. Oh man, I love this series and, of course, I love Elisha Cuthbert. Watching the episode made me remember exactly why I made her #1 on my Top 5 Girls list. The even-more-blonde hair on her is so working for me! You know I may stray every once in a while, but I always come back to the blondes.
Anything else happen? You’re damn right it did. How about playing the most violent video game ever made. I’m talking about none other than Grand Theft Auto: Vice City baby! This game is seriously so bad that if I myself had kids (knock on wood), there’s no way in hell I’d let them touch it. I don’t know of any other game out there where you can walk down the street with a chain saw and ripping into all of the gay fat people in speedos while they’re yelling out homosexual slurs in a bloody mess. Or how about this? Drive up to a prostitute, bargain with her on price, take her to a secluded spot to get your bang on, then when you’re done and she’s leaving the car, break out your hammer and beat her to death so you can steal all of your money back. Can someone say “good times”? Go out and get this game if you can!
Future Plans… Possible Vision… Not Quite…
All of these themes I’ve been doing for October have been plenty fun for me to make simply because I’ve enjoyed showing you some of my favorite scary movies. The whole thing is a gimmicky idea, though, and I can totally see how repetitive and old the thing can get. Not to worry my little droogies. Sometime in the first week of November, I’ll be releasing a new and completely original design for the-journals.com. Of course, it will still have a somewhat basic template (considering the overall simplicity of the site), but it will be much brighter, a lot cleaner, and with a touch of Fall flavor. You can bet it will change slightly when Christmas starts to draw closer, but the overall design should stay the same.
The main thing I want to establish is consistency from this point forward. I have plans to start integrating a couple of sites I’ve had for a while with roguegeek.com being the hub of everything. For example, the-journals.com would be the blog extension of the roguegeek.com “network”. Anyway, I need to sit down and think about it still. Nothing is finalized yet. Hell, nothing is ever finalized with me. Good luck to us all…
The Ring Theme
Yes, this movie did just come out a couple of weeks ago, but I think (given time) it will be right up there with some of the other classic scary movies I’ve been using for themes. If you haven’t seen it yet, rush out to the theaters and check it out. The Ring is definitely one of my favorite movies of the year.
As Per Lisa's Request
I got a used refrigerator 2 weeks ago. It’s was $100 and it’s huge.
