A Visual Walkthrough Of Episode III

I don’t know how many people have seen this, but if you are wanting to see everything that happens in Star Wars Episode III, then click here. You’ll be treated to a huge visual walkthrough of the entire movie. There are major spoilers here so don’t click unless you want to be surprised when you see the movie. I can tell you this, though. Now that I know exactly what happens, I’m even more excited to see it. Looks like it’s gonna be done right.

Let’s rock!

Late Night Or Early Morning?

Can you believe it’s 3am and I’m not even close to being tired yet? SoCal is still getting pounded by rain and it sucks balls. You know what else sucks balls? Hunter S. Thompson committed suicide yesterday. I’m gonna missed all of the non-sensical raving of his lunatic mind. Can ya guess where that quote is from? Anyway, I’m sure countless people probably thought this wouldn’t be the way he’d go. In any case, he’ll be missed for sure. I wonder if they’ll actually create a statue of a fist with two thumbs for him (an idea by HST for his memorial). You can check out his last ESPN editorial that he did back on the 15th here.

Since I can’t sleep, I’m contemplating going out for a drive up to Angeles Crest and checking out the thunder storm. May even take some pictures. Actual, I was thinking about that the other day. I used to update my photo album all the damn time. Haven’t updated it in over a year now. I’m way past due to do something with it. I guess that’s just another incentive to go out right now.

Remember the refrigerator blues? Of course you don’t. Well the one I did buy two years ago decided to die and now I have to go through the whole damn thing again. I’m happy about that. You know. Spending more money and all.

I pushed my friend Dan to start his own blog. He has the most irrational rationale I have ever seen in a human being. Leads me to believe he’s not really human sometimes. In any case, it makes him say the most ridiculous things without even coming close to thinking first and I thought it’d be funny to see it down on paper, err… web-er? You can check out Dan’s Wisdom if you ever get bored.

Alright. Gotta go find something to keep me busy while I wait to get tired.

Saturday Morning Catch Up

Usually I love the rain. The world turns extra green and everything looks clean. It makes everything just look right. Well, I could really do without it this weekend. Now that I have my bike, I understand why motorcyclist absolutely hate it so much. Now I don’t hate it. I just hate it for this weekend.

I saw Constantine last night. It was ok from what I remember. I was slightly inebriated, but sober enough to tell ya that it wont win any awards. I finally saw Million Dollar Baby. You know what? I don’t see the big deal at all. I can’t stand movies that look like they’re really working hard to get that Oscar and this flick was tainted with that feeling. The acting was real good, but the story was just absurd and full of cliches. This movie is absolutely not in my top 10 for 2004. Also caught Ong Bak last week. The movie was absolute crap but Tony Jaa was freakin’ amazing to watch. It would have been nicer if they shot it right so you could see what was happening, but you got the idea. He’s bad ass and I’m sure we’ll see more of it in later movies.

I need to figure out what I’m doing this weekend. It’s raining so the options are narrowed down now. Think I’ll start off with a bagel and juice. Need to get rid of this hang over.

Licensed Motorcyclist

Rainy in SoCal today? I wasn’t expecting this. It’s a nice surprise. Well I’m finally a licensed motorcyclist. Went in to take my written test last Friday and barely passed my first time through. I had no idea you now have to take the basic driving test along with the motorcycle test when you go in for a license. Caught me off guard. Here are the questions I missed. What answers would you have picked?

tr>td width=”20″>

td class=”small”>1. To predict how a hazard may affect you, it’s important to:
font color=”red”>(a) Watch for brake lights or turn signals.
(b) Adjust speed to get around the hazard.
font color=”green”>(c) Know the speed, distance, and direction that the hazard is moving.

2. To see better when following a vehicle at night:
font color=”red”>(a) Increase your following distance and use your low beam.
(b) Drop far back and use your high beam.
font color=”green”>(c) Use the headlights of the vehicle ahead.

3. If you must stop quickly while turning and you are unable to straighten the motorcycle first, apply the:
(a) Front brake and increase your lean angle.
font color=”green”>(b) Brake harder as the lean is reduced.
font color=”red”>(c) Brake first and then lean away from the turn.

Give me your answers and I’ll post up the correct ones in a week or so.

So now it’s time to look for insurance. I’m not in too much of a rush. Took the bike in for full service a week ago and I wont be getting it back until this Wednesday. Nothing wrong with it. Just wanted to do the basic service and have them do a safety inspection. Man, am I looking forward to getting it back.

Bike In Hand

Well, I did it. I finally got my motorcycle this past Tuesday. It’s a 1997 Suzuki GS500E. It’s a different bike from the one I talked about in a previous post, and it’s just as nice. Just need to go in and grab the license from the DMV on Friday, get the thing registered, get myself insured, and I’ll be good to go. Pics to come soon.

Ever Closer To A Bike

Alright. I know I’ve been saying it for a while now, but I’m this close to getting a bike. Have already made arrangements to pick it up this Sunday. It’s a 1994 Suzuki GS500E which is basically a naked sport bike with a much smaller engine. These bikes are know for being indestructible and maintenance free which is a perfect combination for being a first bike. Best of all, it’s not powerful enough to kill myself on. I’m doing this the safest way possible and that means getting something that’s gonna get me comfortable to riding over the next year or so. You can see pics of it from the actual ad here and here.

100% Debt Free

I can mark the day. As of two days ago on Thursday, I am officially debt free. I owe absolutely nothing to anyone what so ever. My last payment was for my car loan on the Camaro. Should have the pink slip in another month. Go me!

Leinart Stays A Trojan

Shit yeah! Leinart is staying a Trojan to finish up his senior year and try for something that no team has ever done before… win three consecutive BSC championships.

“I realized the opportunity right now to support my family by going to the NFL early, but to me I think college football and this whole atmosphere here and being with my fans and my teammates is ultimately more satisfying and will make me happier than any amount of money could make someone happy,” said Leinart.

You gotta appreciate someone like this. He’s forgoing a pro career and millions of dollars to do something that pay nothing but respects.

Realizations From Garden State

I was watching Garden State the other day and realize a couple of things. First off, I find it very easy to relate to the main character, Andrew Largeman. Here’s a depressed guy struggling with his career, completely void of showing any real emotions (although he does feel them), and not sure exactly how life should be lived. I’m not saying I’m depressed all the time, but right now, I certainly am feeling a little down. I wasn’t able to really celebrate any of the holidays because of work and the extra time I put in. As far as not showing emotions goes, that’s just something that’s been with me forever. I’m fine when it’s a forum that I’m use to (like say this blog), but in person I’m pretty numb most of the time. Ask any of my ex-girlfriends and I’m sure they’ll confirm it too. Anyway, it’s these similarities with this character that make me so much to this flick.

The second thing I realized is how it’s not such a bad thing for being like this. Why? Because I am a little more closed up and because I do struggle with what is the best way I can live my life, it’s going to take only the most amazing girl in the world to help me open up and show me how great life can really be. Isn’t that just awesome to think about? I know that a girl I meet in the future and actually will want to know will be someone that can’t help but make me a better person. My ex-girlfriends in the past have been able to help point me in the right direction, but I wouldn’t say any of them have taught me something life changing. That’s why I know the person who will affect me this way will be picture perfect. Yup, I’m claiming it right here. I can’t think of a better depiction of the “perfect girlfriend” than what Natalie Portman was in Garden State.

The perfect girlfriend.

Maybe these things really only happen in the movies. Maybe I’m just too much of a wishful thinker when it come to this kind of stuff. Still, the thought of me meeting someone as perfect and life changing as I dream of brings a smile to my face and definitely helps me get through the rut.
