Look What I Found

I meant to put this up last week when it actually happened, but I didn’t get around to it. So after Rachel left for work one morning, I woke up and found this sitting on top of my PC monitor. Actually, I found it when I came home from work that day. It reads “2 cute 2 be 4 gotten” on it. So the first thing I think is “Oh crap, she accidentally left this here. I better call her so she can get it to who it was meant for.” Seriously, that’s what I thought. I even brought it up with a friend at work, but we came to the conclusion that it was meant for me. Anyway, I’m a sucker for any kind of appreciation or gift and no one has given something like that to me in a long time and I really don’t like remembering those past times. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thanx!

No, this wasn’t the personal post I was originally thinking of. Just trying to play catch-up right now.

Best Buy Tuesday

I know it’s Thursday already, but it I’m still gonna tell ya about my Best Buy Tuesday. I guess we can start with music.

I picked up Linkin Park‘s new album, Meteora. Their first album was good and this one is really just more of the same. Would have been nice to hear something a little new, but it’s still good. The tracks standing out for me are Numb, Faint, and Nobody’s Listening (much like this site).

So what about movies? Well, I missed last weeks release of 8 Mile so that’s one. It’s a good flick but sticks to a very typical formula. Brittany Murphy‘s always a plus though. Also picked up Jackass: The Movie. This is easily one of the funniest movies (if you can call it that) of all time. It’s all shock humor, though, and that tends to only stay funny for some time before it wears off.

It’s game time. Last weekend, I picked up my Gameboy Advance SP (the bling color) and on Tuesday, I got Sonic Advance 2. Now I have even more stuff to take with me into the bathroom. I also grabbed Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. I’ve been waiting for this one. It doesn’t follow the book or the movie directly but it does take place during the “Ilene” missions that they were written around. The whole thing grabs you right away. You start off flying through the desert on the back of a HumV manning the 50 caliber rifle and blasting your way through opposition on your way to protect a suply depot. This game is good.

I also dropped by Fry’s to grab a new mouse. My old one was getting, well… old. Treated myself big time with this one. I picked up the Logitech MX 700. Optical, way too many buttons, comfortable as all hell, and completely wireless to boot. It’s simply the best mouse I’ve ever owned. I’m just wondering if it’s going to last through those fits of rage and impending toss across the room. I guess we’ll see.

I have a good ammount of personal stuff to lay out here soon, so stay tuned.

Fight The Power Lil' M

My friend decided to take his indoor cat (Misha) for a walk… on a leash. Needless to say, the cat wasn’t very willing and hilarity ensued. To me, Misha is doing her “angry but peaceful protestor” impersonation where when you try to move, you let your body go limp.

So I figured you…

So I figured you could just install XP Pro over 2000 Pro, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Ok, full format and install again from scratch. It just asked me to give it a name and I was stumped. Pics of the box are gonna go up tonight and then I’m going to need name suggestions from you guys again. I’m really liking “Number 2” right now. Thanx for that Sleepy. I still haven’t decided, though.

So I Took The First Step

I left from the Nissan dealer late this afternoon after putting down my deposit for a 350Z Performance model in silverstone. $2k basically is a start to my down payment and a place in line. There’s a 4-6 month waiting list. I’m planning on completing my payments on the Camaro around that time so it will work out perfectly. It’s a refundable deposit so I can pull out at anytime but I’ll lose my place completely. I can’t tell you how happy I am about this.

I also go to drive (albeit only 50 ft or so) and play around with a 350Z convertible today. It’s cool, but I still hold my same opinion about it.
