Nosferatu

So just like I did last year, I’m be changing up the template on my site every 3-4 days (I hope) in the month of October. Why? I really enjoy Halloween. And just like last year, I’ll be using some of my favorite scary movies as themes. So the first one to haunt us is Count Orlok from the film, Nosferatu. Released in 1922 and completely silent, this flick still gives me the creeps everytime I watch it. Anyone else enjoy it as much as me?

Throw out some of your favorite scary movies and I’ll see what I can do about getting it up here.

Sick Dog

I’m a sick sick dog right now and really want to put up some updates, but need some major sleep. With it being my favorite month, I want to do some of the things I did last year, but it’ll just have to wait for the weekend that can’t come soon enough. G’night people.

Adobe Photoshop CS Review

DP Review: “With the introduction of Photoshop CS, Adobe has taken a great step in the digital photography direction. Just like the Healing Brush Tool introduced with Photoshop 7 made retouching an order of magnitude easier and better, Adobe has done the equivalent to digital photography with Photoshop CS for prosumers and professionals alike.”

We Tackle the Hard Stuff… Shoes & NASCAR

I’ve noticed how a lot of the blog authors out there talk about what they had for dinner or how their cat is doing. I’m glad I bring up the important issue here.

So I bought shoes. 2 pairs actually. This is indeed a big deal because I haven’t bought any shoes at all for about the last 3 years now. I’m a sandals kind of guy. They’re just normal walk-around shoes. Got tired of the Vans so I went with something a little (but really not that much) different. You can see them here and here. Still need to get a nicer going-out pair, though. I’ll wait for the weekend.

It’s official. I’m heading over to Arizona right after Halloween night to see my good friend graduate to a full on firefighter. Also gonna see the Checker Auto Parts 500 NASCAR race over at Phoenix International Raceway that weekend. It’s gonna be a super red, fun filled weekend. I can’t wait.

Ok… I Do Like The Camera

MacCentral: “Mobile phones with embedded cameras outsold conventional digital cameras for the first time in the first half of 2003…”

When I first got my T616, I thought the camera was about the most pointless thing you could ever put on a phone. I’d have to say, though, after having it the last couple of weeks, it’s an absolute blast to play with and have probably used it more than the actual phone. I take back what I said about it.

Another Best Buy… Sunday?

Real quick here. I picked up a couple titles that you should really check out. If there was a definition for “cool movie”, Confidence would be it. Not only is Donnie Darko one of the strangest movies I’ve ever seen, but it’s also made me scared of rabbits. Finally there’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: The Criterion Collection which was one of the most elusive DVD for me since it came out back in February.

Bugs on a Windshield

Tom’s Rant: “I stick to a nice 25 in the neighborhood, resisting the urge to gun it up to 60 or 70 to see how long before plink!- he’s gone. Once I pull out onto the main road, all bets are off.”

Oh man. Treat yourself to this one. I was laughing my ass off and literally crying in my seat reading it. Nice job Tom.
