It’s amazing how much a video game can manipulate me. I’ve been playing Aggressive Inline lately and all I can think about is how I was so into that stuff during the early high school years. Since I’m wanting to get more active (and work off the gut), maybe it’s not that bad of an idea to pick up some skates and see how that goes. Who know? This might just be one of those things I get interested in real quick and lose interest in even quicker.
Quick Support
I figure I’d show some support for the Avs since they lost tonight and are forced to play a game 7 tomorrow. It should be back to the normal template tomorrow night. Go Avs!

E3 Bound
I just got my confirmation e-mail for E3. Is anyone else heading out to this in May? What are you looking forward to?
Thoughts From The Bowl: Weekend-end
It’s over. Completely over. At least I’m going away from it feeling somewhat productive.
Friday (had it off), I was expecting to install new tires on my car, but that didn’t happen. Turns out they didn’t order it in time and now I’m gonna have to wait until Tuesday/Wednesday. Kind of pissed me off because I specifically set aside time that day to get it done. Now it will have to wait for next weekend. Friday night was pretty boring. Drinking with friends. Watched Blue Crush. Mmm… blondes.
Saturday, my friends and I woke up early (relatively) to go hiking. Since we can get pretty unproductive together, so things didn’t get started until 3pm. We drove up to Chantry Flats and hiked in about 1.5 miles. I have a lot of video and stills from it so I’ll try and get it up here as soon as I can. On the way back, we passed this older guy who asked us if we went all the way to the top. I’m about 15 pounds overweight and wearing a Hawaiian shirt. What do you think? It turns out “all the way to the top” is actually 11 miles. Sounds doable so we’re gonna keep trying. If the shit goes down, though, and we get lost in the woods, I’m eating Danny first.
After a quick stop to a sushi bar, we met up with a couple of other friends who were celebrating their one year anniversary by going out to the Irwindale Speedway to check out a race. Yes, they’re white. Sitting in the grand stands, all I could think about was something a someone (originally from Atlanta) told me last week: “The rednecks here are the same as the ones back South, but without the accent and wearing less plaid.” This was a magnificent showcase of Caucasian at its best… and I was a part of it.
This morning I woke up early (again relative) and met up with the family to celebrate the Easter thing. Nothing big. We went out for lunch and came back to my parent’s house to spend time with each other. Later on I met up with a friend and checked out Malibu’s Most Wanted (pass on this one).
That pretty much brings me up to this point… sitting on the toilet and posting to my blog. Oh, happy Easter.
Na Na Na Na…
…na na na na, hey hey, goodbye. Since both Anaheim and Detroit are my most hated teams in the NHL, you can imagine how torn I was when they played each other in the first round. I think Detroit getting swept in four games was really the best outcome, though. I don’t know whether to give them a broom to clean up the mess or a golf club to work on their game of real play now. That being said, I hope the Ducks burn just as bad in this next round when (if) they go up against Colorado. Go Avs!
Safari Public Beta 2… Tab Goodness Included
Apple’s Safari web browser has been updated to Public Beta 2. My first impressions: tabs good, auto-fill good, much faster. More later.
Igby Goes Down
You should check out this movie I just finished up watching, Igby Goes Down. It’s a got a very Rushmore feel to it: funny, but depressing at times. The writer/director of the movie, Burr Steers, was the “Flock of Seagulls” character from Pulp Fiction. I know I didn’t explain anything about the movie, but just check it out if you can.
Happy Birthday Danny
Don't be sure
Dave Winer: “…don’t be sure you know how it turns out. All we saw yesterday was a TV show.”
