Lunch time is a strange time around here mainly because of the conversation that takes place during it. It’s a time of discovery and exposure. Really what it comes down to is what is my inquisitive friend going to ask today. Boy let me tell you, he asked one for the books today. I don’t want to go through the whole story, but he basically learned that girls have 3 holes “down there” today and not just 2. Once more, we supplied him with diagrams from books because visual aids seem to work best. I told him that I wouldn’t quote him on my site out of respect, but I thought about it and I don’t really respect him that much. So without further delay, the quote of the day:

I can finally stop stressing over the roommate thing because my future roommate signed the month-to-month lease paper a couple of hours ago. The guy seems ok and I don’t foresee any problems, but you never really know. Still, this is a good thing because now I can dedicate more time, effort, and money to the important things in life: computers, DVDs, and video games. Which reminds me, I bought NASCAR Thunder 2003, and Jak & Daxter this weekend. I also picked up Monsters Inc. and the 24: Season One DVD set. I figured while I was out, I might as well reserve Robotech, Unreal Tournament 2003, and GTA: Vice City. It’s nice being able to spend money again.

Turns out that contrail wasn’t from a rocket launched by JPL. (refer to this article) It was an unarmed missile being launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base near Lompoc, CA around 7:30pm. After I got home from work today, I looked up in the sky and saw some strange lights and clouds. I decided to grab my camera, head on over to the park, and snap some pictures. This is what I captured.

My guess is it’s just the contrail left from a rocket shot by JPL. That picture is a 4 second exposure @ f4.5 and ISO 100 by my Nikon CP5000.

Ohh look at that! I sucked at my football picks again. Well, at least I didn’t come in dead last again. I’ll post all the standings tomorrow, but it looks like I’ll come out 4th for the week and 5th overall (out of 6). This is, of course, after Philadelphia romps over Washington tonight. I think I’ll be in 3rd overall after the next couple of weeks though. I’m just happy I beat Lisa this week, though, after all the sh*t talking she did.

So what else happened this weekend? A friend brought her kid over this weekend. She’s way cool, super funny (the kid), and has this strange infatuation with my labret piercing, but there’s no way I’m going to play with her. I just don’t know how to handle them. I’ve got no experience with them. I’m so much bigger and they’re so fragile. I just don’t want to break them.

Anything else? Hmm. How about Unreal Tournament 2003? Oh my God, the game looks amazing on my box and plays perfect at 1600×1200 with all the settings turned up nice and high. I don’t mean to toot my horn or anything (actually I do), but I’m f*ckin’ good. I was good at Unreal Tournament and I was kick all ass and taking names last night at 2003. The big FPS’s I’m playing right now are Counter Strike (not that great at but taking up way too much of my time) and, of course, Halo, the best damn game ever made. It’s a year old and still better than anything else out there. Oh, I never let you guys know the results from the Halo National Championships that I took part in a month ago. Out of something like 12000 entries, I was in the top 1500. Not bad, I guess, considering the amount and type of players that signed up. I still didn’t make the regional finals though.
